While on our way to UPLB, Makiling Botanic Garden
.
. . Mt. Makiling . .
Maria Makiling, sometimes spelled Mariang Makiling, in Philippine Mythology, is a diwata or lambana (fairy or forest nymph) associated with Mount Makiling in Laguna. She is the most widely known diwata in Philippine Mythology.
Similar to Maria Sinukuan of Mount Arayat and Maria Cacao on Mount Lantoy, Maria Makiling is the guardian spirit of the mountain, responsible for protecting its bounty and thus, is also a benefactor for the townspeople who depend on the mountain's resources. In addition to being a guardian of the mountain, some legends also identify Laguna de Bay and the fish caught from it as part of her domain. It is often said that Mount Makiling resembles the profile of a woman, said to be Maria herself. This phenomenon is described as true from several different perspectives, so there is no single location associated with this claim. The mountain's various peaks are said to be Maria's face and two breasts, respectively, and her hair cascades downwards a gentle slope away from her body.

When we arrived there at the MBG, Ate Ira, who's
our... uh, Outbound Educator? I'm not sure what was
her role in our trip, because I forgot, but Ate Ira taught
us or encouraged us to exercise before we officially
start our tour. And we also formed a big circle.

As seen on the photo, (lower right)
We are about to go inside to watch a film.
Kuya Sam and Kuya Joey (upper left)
discussed to us what the film is all about.
And to what I've understand, the film (lower left)
is all about a tree who's with his Grandson, were
talking about their relatives that have been used
for many purposes such as papers and other things.
Sorry, but I actually forgot all about it, but it actually
is all about nature.

While we were in the rest room, and I was peeing, I didn't know that two of my friends took a shot on my iPhone, so I was shocked when I was scanning on my photos, I was wondering when and where was this taken, but then......... OH! -___-
The one who has her tounge out is, Nicole
and the one who was holding the iPhone was Geremie.

So yeah, after the filmviewing, we went outside and...
Kuya Sam, the guy in the picture discussed
to us what Mangkono is.
Mangkono, scientifically called Xanthostemon
verdugonianus Naves, is known to be the hardest
Philippine hardwood species. Cutting a 70-cm thick
tree with axes normally requires three hours, but
cutting a Mangkono tree with the same diameter
usually takes two to four days.

In MBG,
there's a statue
there, and it's a seed, they built the statue as a sign of a new life.
Kuya Sam, the guy in the photo earlier was the one who told us what is the meaning of the statue, but as usual, we already forgot about it, heehee.
On the photo,
(lower left), there are 2 trees there, and that's the kind of tree that will grow if you plant that seed.

The date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) is a palm in the genus Phoenix, cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. Although its place of origin is unknown because of long cultivation, it probably originated from lands around Iraq. It is a medium-sized plant, 15–25 m tall, growing singly or forming a clump with several stems from a single root system. The leaves are 4–6 m long, with spines on the petiole, and pinnate, with about 150 leaflets; the leaflets are 30 cm long and 2 cm wide. The full span of the crown ranges from 6 to 10 m. Dates contain 20-70 calories each, depending on size and species.

"tabi, tabi po!" is for a Nuno or Nuno sa Punso (Duwende) is a dwarf-like creature in Philippine mythology. It is believed to live in an anthill or termite mound, hence its name, literally 'Ancestor/Grandparent of the anthill'.

I didn't got the chance to ask
why there are countries that's
stucked or buried on the soil
but I think, it could be.. or
maybe, just MAYBE, maybe
the seeds that was planted on
the soil were from each countries
because there are many kinds
and different plants there.

Stick insects are among the best camouflaged of all creatures, with a body shape that mimics the branches of their home. The insect's name is Jessica, and as what Kuya Onald told us, Jessica is pregnant.

A rock is a naturally occurring solid, made of minerals The minerals in the rocks vary, making different kinds of rock. The Earth's crust is made of rock. Rock is often covered by soil or water.
A mineral is a naturally occurring substance that is solid and stable at room temperature, representable by a chemical formula, usually abiogeni, and has an ordered atomic structure. It is different from a rock, which can be an aggregate of minerals or non-minerals, and does not have a specific chemical composition. The exact definition of a mineral is under debate, especially with respect to the requirement a valid species be abiogenic, and to a lesser extent with regards to it having an ordered atomic structure.
A fossil is the preserved remains, impressions or traces, through natural circumstances, of an organism.
